The Blessing

Today was Timbo's funeral. Actually, it wasn't called a funeral, it was called a "coronation service" to celebrate his winning a crown in heaven. It was preceded by a slide show with what seemed like hundreds of pictures of Timbo from birth on up and had nearly everybody in tears between the laughter. The church was very crowded and emotions close to the surface as the Gemindens had a very large and close extended family. The Blessing of the day was this: Despite a forecast of 48 degree temps and rain all day, the skies were blue and the temp was 58, a blessing indeed for a graveside service which followed the family luncheon.
God kissed the day with light and warmth to reassure and comfort everyone who loved Timbo.
